Sydney songstress Rachel Collis has been described by reviewers as no less than “prodigy”, “sheer genius” (Australian Stage) and “a welcome jolt back to the time of Joni Mitchell and Carole King” (The Orange Press). Rachel is good old-fashioned songwriting, combined with Celtic-like vocals and exquisite piano playing.
Rachel’s albums (produced by ARIA and Emmy-award-winning Sean Carey) have sold internationally and grown Rachel a fan base of thousands in the UK, the US and Canada (places she has yet to tour!), and Rachel is regularly asked if her songs may be covered at local folk clubs in those countries. Closer to home, Rachel has performed to sell-out audiences at the prestigious Riverside Theatres, the Hornsby and Ku-ring-gai Folk Club, the Newcastle and Hunter Valley Folk Club, The Shack, Eastern Lounge, The Acoustic Picnic, Foundry 616, Camelot Lounge, the Sydney and Adelaide Fringe Festivals, and on the Opera House stage as part of the Arts Alive Concert Series.
On November 5th , along with her 4-piece band, Rachel will be launching her brand new album.
