Jan Preston’s Boogie Circus
Boogie piano-player extraordinaire and talented singer-songwriter, Jan Preston, makes a welcome return to Leichhardt Bowlo! And she’s looking forward to giving the club’s beautiful Kawai grand piano a good workout!
Jan will be joined by Mike Pullman (percussion) and Craig Renneburg (double bass), as well as her very special guest, the highly talented violinist and singer, George Washingmachine.
They’ll be playing Jan’s infectious brand of Boogie & Blues, including some new songs, plus a new beefed-up version of Mozart’s Ronda All Turca, and some of her film and TV scores.
Winner of 5 music awards for her CDs and soundtracks, Jan plays festivals and concerts throughout Australia, NZ and Europe, writes music for film and TV, as well as composing and performing for silent movies. Her composition, “Trout Blues”, has recently been chosen as the theme music for BBC Radio London’s Evening Show.
