Frankie Armstrong will be joined by the PerSisters and Mooncatchers Women’s Choir in a concert at the
Older Women’s Network Inc. 8-10 Victoria Street Newtown, NSW 2042 Show map
Frankie is visiting Australia from the UK, as she has regularly for over 40 years, giving concerts and voice workshops. She is a proponent of the natural voice and has been a huge influence in the formation of commuinity singing in Australia. Her solo repertoire – of ballads, traditional folk songs, music hall and contemporary songs – and her profound sense of social justice make her a spell-binding entertainer.
To start the evening, there will be a short set from Mooncatchers Women’s Choir and The PerSisters (Margaret Walters and Christina Mimmocchi).
The Older Women’s Network is centrally situated (behind the Marlborough on the corner of Missenden and King St Newtown) and is fully accessible. Everyone is welcome. Tickets available from Eventbrite.
