Roger Corbett is delighted to be presenting a solo show of his original songs and stories of his career .
Roger is a long-time member of the legendary Australian group, The Bushwackers, joining the band in 1980. Roger and lagerphonist, Dobe Newton have been the driving force behind the band with Roger contributing his original songs to the band’s repertoire and 25 studio albums.
Roger’s songs – Beneath the Southern Cross, Henry’s Men, April 25, Diggin’ For Gold, Another Trip to Bunnings, Marijuana Australiana (rehashed) The Lagerphone The Good Old Days, This Little Town and many more tell our real Australian stories with a depth and humour that has kept the Bushwackers at the forefront of Australian folk and country song and dance for 50 years and counting.
The Bushwackers have won many awards and accolades including 3 Gold records, 3 Golden Guitar awards in Tamworth, the 2021 induction into the Roll Of Renown in Tamworth and have recorded 25 Studio albums. They continue with Roger and Dobe at the helm to create great music and perform all around the country at Festivals, Civic events, Clubs and pubs.
