Creative Australia (formerly The Australia Council) is building the first ever picture of the Australian music industry at a national level. It’s critical to see folk musicians counted in this study!
The analysis will provide a picture of the breadth and complexity of the music industry’s activities and economic contributions. The results will be a vital tool for industry, government and the community, and will support decision making, advocacy and understanding of music in Australia.
Creative Australia is currently inviting all musicians, music businesses and music workers to contribute to this project by completing the Australian music economic impact survey. Follow this link to participate Australian Music Economic Impact Study.
The survey closes on 30 September.
Thank you Christine for bringing this to our attention. Yes, vital that folk music and musicians are represented.
