2025 Folk Wrap Performers

Floor spots
To set up a cheery folk club atmosphere, we’re offering the opportunity for members of the audience to participate. If you’re a player, singer, reciter or storyteller, this is your chance to perform one or two songs, tunes or words in front of a kind and generous audience. Sign up to perform when you arrive (get in early!). One or two songs each (absolute max 10 mins). We will kick off the event with an hour of floor spots and may have more in the evening, depending on demand. Please note that floor spots are not paid but we will give you dinner. (Yes, you can literally be “singing for your supper”)

Duo Balkanski – music and dance
Former Folk Federation President and superb musician Andy Busuttil and drummer Vlad Jankulovski will be providing traditional music in a mixed concert and dance set. Gorgeous Balkan rhythms and songs with members of International Folk Dance group Sedenka leading some easy-to-learn dances to give you a chance to stretch your legs and build your appetite for dinner.

The Wild Women of Anywhere Beach
The Wild Women of Anywhere Beach, Cathy Welsford and Angie Smith, hail from the north coast of NSW and are known in the folk and festival world for their funny, poignant, uplifting shows. Their original folk-style songs deftly, and often humorously, cover a broad array of home-grown topics such as the environment, relationships, feminism, rural life and the joys of aging. They have released two studio albums and are also active in song writing and ukulele workshops and camps around Australia.
