Blackheath Folk at the Gardners Inn on Wednesday 2nd July will host a very special event, starting at 7.30 pm. The featured guest performers will be Martin Doherty, Leigh Birkett and Simon Watts who will launch a new album, “Tribute to Jim Low”. Floor performers will also be welcome. Entry is by $5 donation. All welcome.

Here is a message from Martin Doherty:
Dear musical friends,
I feel this is my best album so far and all the songs are written
by a beautiful man, Jim Low from Mount Victoria.
Some years ago, the ABC picked up and recorded Jim’s “Charcoal
Annie” which proved to be very popular.
Jim’s music is so different to any I had heard before. I have put my
own style to his songs, with Jim’s blessing.
The album titled “Tribute to Jim Low” contains wonderful stories
of the Blue Mountains and its people.
