Ten Quid Poms – For fifty years John and Robin have sung many forms of traditional music. English sponsored migrants, they named their duo “The Ten Quid Poms” and debuted at the 2016 Cobargo Festival.
They have been well received in many NSW and ACT clubs, and return to Sydney after both going over sideways last year with medical emergencies. The universe may have suspected something.

John and Robin are not just traditional performers, they have composed many songs based on traditional models. John has an enormous repertoire, many of his songs being also performed overseas. He wrote Yarri of Wiradjuri, a CD about the heroes of the 1852 Gundagai Floods and then collaborated with Robin in a very well reviewed CD, We Made The Steel about the NSW steelworks of Wollongong and Port Kembla.

Both have written a number of Union songs, as well as songs about the horrific combination of bushfire and dust storms that struck the ACT.

Over the years they have presented workshops and themed concerts on twenty or more different topics.
Impressive performers. Whatever they sing about, politics, work, animals, sea shanties, traditional or original, expect lively and interactive performance, a capella or variously accompanied, and scintillating harmonies.

Ami Williamson is a most accomplished and unique entertainer, combining her experience of music and theatre and charming audiences throughout Australia. While her roots are firmly in the tradition of singer/songwriter, her richly diverse upbringing had Ami taking the stage not only in opera and classical music concerts as a graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and the Ensemble Acting Studios, but also touring with her father, the legendary country music artist John Williamson.

As a much loved and well-respected artist on the Australian music scene, Ami has enjoyed regular headline engagements at all the major festivals including Port Fairy Folk Festival, Woodford Folk Festival and the National Folk Festival as well completing several national tours and regular cruises.

With an exceptionally engaging personality, Amy wrings a range of emotions from her performances and she is sure to win the hearts of the audience at the Loaded Dog.
