Two ‘Folk Federation of NSW Young Folk Artist Awards’ will be offered each year, one to an individual performer, the other to a group/band. All individuals and group/band members applying must be resident in NSW and under age 25 on July 1st of the year of the award.

In addition we are offering a ‘Junior Artist Award’ to either an individual or group/band. The individual or group/band members must be age 17 or under on July 1st of the year of the award.

Applications for the 2019 awards close on 31st August 2018. Shortly afterwards the best applicants will be selected and invited to perform at a concert organised by us, following which the final awards will be announced.

Each prize will include regular mentoring organised by Folk Fed, over the year of the award, aimed at developing performance and presentation skills. Following on from this the artists will be invited to perform at one or more of our concerts, and it is hoped also at a folk club and/or festival.
