The Water Runners Song Writing Workshop for TSA Hats Off to Country Tamworth

Central Tablelands
13 July 2025 @ 9:00am - 12:00 pm
$20 early bird and $30 at the door.

As part of The Tamworth Songwriters Association and Hats Off to Country, we’re also hosting a songwriting workshop at UNE Building 24, Fitzroy St, Sunday, 9-12 pm. You can get tickets from the link.

The  Water Runners blend traditional folk, bluegrass and country in songs rich in melody and storytelling that reflect the landscape of their experiences, all delivered in an engaging stage show and with a sound that is distinctively Australian.

Join John Littrich and Neil McCann from The Water Runners in exploring the ins and outs of their songwriting. John and Neil have featured in the top ten many times in TSA songwriting competitions and most recently won the Judith Crossley Memorial Songwriting Award for their song “The Emily Smith” and were finalists in the 2024 ASA songwriting competition for their song “Murrumbidgee”. The Water Runners have released three albums of original songs and are about to release their fourth.

Pick up tips and hopefully come out with your own song!
