HUMBUG is a well-known Celtic band performing in the Australian Folk music scene and
comprises Rachel Antone (vocals and percussion), Simone Dawson (vocals, flute and
whistles) and Mal Bennett (vocals and guitar).
Specialising in part harmonies with exquisite instrumental accompaniment, the band’s
repertoire covers a broad selection of Irish and Scottish ballads and ‘foot tappers’, including
well known songs and lesser-known musical gems.
Humbug Celtic Band features harmony vocals, woodwind, fiddle, mandolin, bouzouki,
percussion and guitar. Featuring lush vocal harmonies and haunting instrumental backing,
Humbug’s extensive Celtic repertoire includes songs old and new, traditional and non-
traditional, ranging from soulful ballads to toe-tapping singalongs. Performing at many
festivals and celebrations Humbug brings joy and energy to any occasion.
