St Albans Folk Festival is on again, with this year’s lineup featuring Tony McManus, Apolline, Azadoota, Mad Kelpie Playdate, Nerida, and over 30 other fabulous acts. A welcoming festival with a relaxed atmosphere, held in the iconic village of St Albans near Wisemans Ferry, about 90 minutes from Sydney – You can visit for the day or camp for the weekend on the banks of the MacDonald River.
As well as high quality performances, the festival offers a series of workshops from guitar fingerpicking to harmony singing, songwriting for beginners, and even a branding masterclass for musos. Plus, there is a blackboard stage for those who want to share their own talents. St Albans is for audiences of all ages. On Saturday the KidsFest kicks off with craft activities, followed by a morris dancing workshop, songwriting for kids, and even a maypole dance. Grab something delicious to eat, or a handmade treasure, at the festival market, and stay up late with the sessions at the iconic Settlers Arms Inn.
