Mothers of the Nation – 8pm

The Mothers of the Nation Band developed from a 2019 project to deliver original songs for the 200th anniversary of the Parramatta Female Factory. The Factory is the earliest female convict site in Australia and was a prison, marriage bureau and place of hardship and loss for over 9,000 female convicts.

Band members Rosie McDonald, Cliona Molins, Jacqueline McPhee and Nigel Lever will deliver a show based on the songs and stories of hope, resilience and survival of the female convicts and other strong women in history.
