The Illawarra Folk Club is holding our now regular Railway Sessions Open Mic Night!
Feel like singing a song?
Feel Like playing an instrument? (ukuleles accepted)
Feel like reciting a poem?
Feel like telling a woolly yarn?
Feel Like singing along?
Feel like having a drink? (You have to bring your own though)
Feel like a snack? (BYO again but we will give you tea and coffee, with homemade slices)
Feel like just sitting and listening to any or all of the above?
Well, the Illawarra Folk Club can satisfy these cravings and it’s on next on Wednesday 18 December at the Railway Heritage Hall on the Thirroul Railway Station at 7 PM and goes to 10 PM.
But you don’t have to stay the whole time and can come and go as you please. You don’t have to book, but if you are playing it will be first in best dressed – we will have a blackboard. We have the folk club’s sound system so you will be heard.
Yes, we welcome banjos, bagpipes and accordions!
And the good news is that these open mic sessions are held every third Wednesday of the month.
What does it cost I hear you ask? Well, it is free as nobody gets paid though, as we have to pay for the hall hire, we will put a hat at the door and if you could throw in five bucks then that will assist with costs – but it is not compulsory – it is a mere donation.
We will see and hear you there!
Why not catch the train – the venue is right at Thirroul Station!
