The Good Behaviours are an exquisite chamber-folk ensemble wrapped in old-time-banjo. Nick Henderson (banjo) composes music of cinematic beauty inspired by the mighty Dyarubbin, a border-collie called Miles, the sweeping beauty of Dharawal country and a deep well of musical inspiration spanning old time, post-rock, jazz and instrumental folk.
Joined by some of Australia’s most virtuosic improvisers Chris Stone (fiddle) and Holly Downes (double bass), Emily-Rose Sarkova (accordion) and Felix Lalanne (guitar), they make a veritable supergroup spanning the Australian Folk and Jazz scenes. The band play music from the heart, they uplift and excite with dynamic and cathartic journeys through music. Recent highlights include performances at The National Folk Festival, Cobargo Folk Festival and Cygnet Folk Festival in 2024 and the release of their debut album ‘Home’.
In September of 2024, The Good Behaviours will be releasing their 2nd full length studio album, ‘It’ll Be Alright’, pristinely recorded at the beautiful Wind Song Pavilion in Bermagui.
