Cobargo Folk Festival

01 March @ 3:30pm - 03 March @ 5:00pm 2024
Various ticket options

Cobargo Folk Festival is held at the beautiful Cobargo Showground in the hinterland of the Far South Coast of New South Wales. Beginning 27 years ago as a street festival in the historic main street of Cobargo, the festival has grown into a joyful three-day celebration of  folk and roots music, song, dance, craft and more.

Proudly produced and presented by the Yuin Folk Club Inc since 1996, the Cobargo Folk Festival is wholly volunteer-run, independent and non-commercial.  Any profits we make go to helping grow music and art in our beautiful coastal region, which is still recovering from the devastating fires of 2019/2020. Volunteer-run folk festivals can only thrive with strong support from folk music lovers. We are deeply grateful to the many folk community volunteers who make this festival happen, and to every folk music lover  who buys a ticket. As a festival that is almost totally reliant on ticket revenue with very little by way of government grants, strong ticket sales are critical.

This year we have more than 100 hours of concerts, dances, workshops, poetry and story we know you’ll find a lot to love. The music program includes folk, blues, country, alt-country, Americana, Old Timey, bluegrass, solo singer songwriters, The Bushwackers, Gangar, a wild folk rock band from Norway. and the Irish singer, Lisa O’Neill, whose Australian gigs are selling out wherever she plays. Many of our performers are going on to appear at Port Fairy FF, the National and Blue Mountains.
A three-day season pass to Cobargo Folk Festival is just $150. If you can’t make the full three days, come for a day or come for an evening. Day tickets available Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There are a range of options and prices including all day and evening, or just an evening. Children under 12 are free with a paying adult.
