We’re hitching our well-groomed show ponies to a troika, and setting off on a bouncy envigorating ride through a cappella land! Three delightful vocal groups will convey you through the evening’s harmonious landscape: Karisma, the Glee Bees, and Andsome Friends.
No cover charge. But remember musicians can get thirsty!
Karisma started out in the 1970s in the Sydney club circuit singing jazz standards and 70s pop, mainly songs about love in its many permutations. Fired up now with two fab new singers, hitting the jazz and folk scenes with all new arrangements by Peter Paige.
The GleeBees are an acapella vocal group with a wide repertoire taking them from pop to classical. They rehearse at the Salvation Army Hall in Dulwich Hill every Thursday from 7.30pm-9.30pm during school terms – new members are most welcome!
Andsome Friends is a vocal ensemble that is original, versatile and fun. Presenting new music written and arranged by members of the group, they will take you on a crazy musical journey that covers everything from quirky rounds, mash-ups of familiar cartoon theme songs, fast paced wordy folk jigs, and upbeat rocky grooves to soul filled love songs of loss and longing.
