Warren Fahey

I have been collecting, writing about and performing Australian folk songs, yarns, recitations and stories for over fifty years. As a cultural historian, I use my performances and talks as 'signposts' to history. I play a bit of English Concertina to accompany some of my songs and have even been known to play the jaw harp. Whilst I am happy enough to perform solo, I sometimes rope in multi-instrumentalist Marcus Holden (there's a photo of us down below). My repertoire includes bush songs and city ditties, many of which come from my oral history collection in the National Library. I also write books, create heritage videos and do the occasional acting. I probably should have retired years ago!
