Saplings

Saplings is an inclusive music education programme specifically tailored for children and youth aged approx. 8 – 18 years – providing them with an opportunity to tap into and enjoy the rich resource of collected Australian music in a fun, informal setting. Established in 2014 by the Bush Music Club, the workshops, sessions, master classes and family camps welcome musicians of all levels and, with the help of expert tutors, gives them an appreciation of playing music for dancing and songs and the joy of playing music together with new friends, just for fun. Music is provided in a way that musicians of all levels can join in and enjoy making music together. Saplings events occur at several folk festivals around NSW and smaller groups are being set up in regional areas.
