Bluegrass & Traditional Country Music Society of Australia
*The Bluegrass & Traditional Country Music Society of Australia (BTCMSA) is an informal, not-for-profit group of people interested in and playing, learning and sharing bluegrass, old-time & acoustic traditional country music.
*Founded in 1975 by a group of enthusiastic bluegrass & old-time musicians, it was the first national association in Australia committed specifically to bluegrass, old-time and acoustic traditional country music. It has remained a cornerstone for the growth and preservation of bluegrass & old-time music in Australia.
*Activities are carried out on a volunteer basis by the founders, an informal coordinating group and other interested people who want to give time and energy to nurture the music.
*The main NSW event auspiced by the BTCMSA is the monthly Sydney Bluegrass & Old-Time Music Get-together in Annandale.
