Martyn is simply a legend, both in Australia and the UK, known for his peerless renditions of the classic traditional Australian Bush songs which captivated him when he left his Sussex farm home in the early ‘60s to work on Emu Springs sheep station in South Australia. Martyn became part of the folk song revival in Sydney and Melbourne and on his return to England continued to be an ambassador of Australian folk songs and has maintained his connection with Australia through regular tours.
It will be wonderful to see Martyn again in person during his current tour and to enjoy his warmth, humour and mesmerising performances.

Guest performers at the BMC Hut on 29th March will be Christine Connolley (pictured left) and Hazel Richings (right) – two fine unaccompanied singers from the UK. The two (separately and together) will perform at the beginning of the evening.
