Songwriting Masterclass with Glenn Skuthorpe

Blue Mountains
21 May 2022 @ 2:00pm - 4:00 pm
$25
‘…a style that is earthy, Australian and very much his own,’ Yarn Up Magazine (AUS)

With six highly-regarded albums and music featured in movies and documentaries such as The Emu Runner and John Pilger’s Utopia, Nhunggabarra, Kooma man and international touring singer-songwriter Glenn Skuthorpe is an intriguing man and a powerful lyricist and composer.

This is your chance to hear some of those stories up close and personal with Glenn for two hours in a cosy hall in Blackheath, Blue Mountains. All welcome – you don’t need to be a songwriter to enjoy this unique opportunity.

Glenn has performed with some living legends including Buffy Sainte-Marie, Steve Earle, Tex Perkins, Troy Cassar-Daley, Kev Carmody, Archie Roach, Rory McLeod, Buddy Miller and Mary Gauthier.

To book, send me an email (see organiser details this page) for payment details to confirm your place.

‘Pulsing, thought-provoking contemporary roots music from a man who clearly cares deeply about his country and his craft. Every time one of Glenn’s songs finishes, I always want to hear another to find out what else he has to say about the world surrounding him. See My World is an apt title for the latest album from a musician who has an obvious talent for telling great stories, about subjects that matter, in memorable, well-written songs.’ Michael Park, The International Americana Music Show (USA)

And on Sunday 22 May Glenn will be performing with his 5-piece band at the famous Clarendon Hotel in Katoomba – see other Events for details.
