Mendala is a contemporary folk trio mixing guitar, flute, bass, banjo and vocal harmonies. We play original, emotionally gripping songs about ancient links such as “This Land”, combined with the satirical fun of “Not Cool Enough for Newtown”. Covers include rediscovering the beauty of Cat Steven’s “Into White” and the iconic bluegrass rock of Canned Heat’s “Going Up To The Country”. We put our own stamp on some classics whilst celebrating new themes and old stories in fresh original numbers.
