Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Folk Club’s guest artist this month is the award-winning young troubadour, Felicity Dowd!  Felicity is one of Australia’s most promising up-and-coming musicians, recognised via multiple awards, including Australian Folk Music Award’s Youth Artist of the Year (2023), a 2024 + 2025 Toyota Starmaker Grand finalist, NSW Folk Federation Young Artist of the Year (2020), 2023 New Songwriter of the Year at the Tamworth Country Music Festival and the Gill Rees Memorial Award winner at the 2023 National Folk Festival.
Hailing from the NSW South Coast, Felicity Dowd has wowed audiences across the country, from main stages at the National Folk Festival, Woodford Folk Festival and the Tamworth Country Music Festival to support slots with music royalty: the Bushwackers, Josh Cunningham (The Waifs), Felicity Urquhart, Ash Grunwald, Fanny Lumsden, Neil Murray (Warumpi Band) and Tex Perkins (The Cruel Sea).
“Felicity Dowd is a deep thinker and truly authentic performer. She writes songs that have meaning and sings with soul!” ~ Lyn Bowtell (10-time Golden Guitar Winner and Toyota Starmaker).
We’ll also have floor spots, supper and great folky company… a fantastic Friday night out in Hornsby!
