Blackheath Folk on Wednesday 2nd October will feature THE SONGS OF JIM LOW.

Jim is a singer/songwriter who has lived in the Blue Mountains for most of his life.  He has delighted  audiences with the insightful songs he sings about the Blue Mountains and places and people he has come across in his travels as well as with his songs of social conscience.  With four well received CDs to his credit, Jim has performed at festivals, concerts and numerous other gatherings.  The ABC Sing Project used his songs in Australian schools.

The evening will also feature some other talented musicians performing Jim’s original songs, including Martin Doherty and The Heathens choir.  This will be a chance to engage with a thoughtful, award-winning songwriter and discover, through a choice selection of his songs and reflection, why he finds music such an important part of life.

Folk music and poetry at the Gardners Inn on Wednesday 2nd October will start at 7.30 pm.  Floor performers will be welcome.  Entry to the event is by $5 donation.   The Gardners Inn bistro will open at 5.30 pm.
