Cobargo Performer Applications Now Open

Calling all NSW performers!
Performer Expressions of Interest for the 2025 Cobargo Folk Festival on the beautiful NSW Sapphire Coast are open until 6 July.

The Cobargo Folk Festival is a folk and roots music, arts and cultural event held annually on the first weekend in March at the Cobargo Showground. The festival is presented and produced by the Yuin Folk Club Inc., a not-for-profit community organisation established and run by local Cobargo people since 1996. More than 300 volunteers co-create the Festival. Our festival is not a commercial event and we are not commercial promoters. Any profits from the Festival are used to fund future festivals, to grow music and art in our area, and to assist local community projects. At our festival, “Folk Music” covers a broad spectrum of music styles, traditional and contemporary. We believe that music, dance, art and culture is for everyone. We respect folk music traditions of all cultures and we create opportunities for trad music to be handed on through generations.

We program artists from all stages of the musical and artistic journey – beginners, players who are not full time musicians, emerging artists, mid-career professionals, well-established acts. We are passionate about community music-making, and our festival aims to offer everyone the chance to learn new skills, particularly musical and performance skills.

Performer Expressions of Interest for the 2025 festival are open until 6th July.

This is an impressive ‘resume’ from a community-run folk festival and a standout from other more commercially oriented events. Go Cobargo FF! Looking forward to seeing the 2025 lineup.

Our family loves Cobargo Folk Fest. Have seen some great performers there including Archie Roach. We are eagerly awaiting the line up for next year’s festival.
