Toongabbie Music Club

The Club meets on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month in the Northmead Scouts Hall, 17 Whitehaven Rd, Northmead between 8pm and midnight. The Club rents the hall from the NSW Scouts and is not subsidized in any way other than by members paying a small fee (currently $7) to attend each meeting. This money pays for rental, insurance and for a light supper. All styles and levels of performers welcome. Poets, storytellers and audience also welcome. Musicians sit in a circle and take turns at performing one song or tune at a time. In this way each performer is able to sing or play a number of times during the evening. Ages range from 14 to 80. The last part of each evening is devoted to well known songs where everyone plays together. Sometimes we practice pieces from our ‘public repertoire’ for upcoming public performances.
