Trial by Jury and other Gilbert & Sullivan gems (Loosely Woven)
April 12 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pmFree
Gilbert and Sullivan wrote Trial by Jury over 140 years ago. The opera satirises hypocrisy and corruption in the legal profession and parodies the base motives of Britain’s moral leaders and institutions – themes all too relevant for Australian audiences in 2019.
This lively production presented by Loosely Wovenwill delight audiences of all ages. The talented cast, joined by a chamber orchestra, also perform highlights from other G & S operas.
Loosely Woven is a community music troupe based at Humph Hall in Allambie Heights. Performances have been scheduled at Humph Hall and four other venues in Sydney. Entry is by donation and all proceeds will go to charities such as Amnesty International.
