Traditional Graffiti & The Fossickers @ The Loaded Dog, Saturday 22nd September, 7.00 for 7.30pm,
September 22, 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm$18 – $20
Traditional Graffiti (aka ‘The Trads’) has risen, phoenix-like out of the ashes of the Wheeze & Suck Band. The band members are:- Ian “The Pump” Macintosh – slide, acoustic & electric guitars, melodeon, vocals, John “Johnny Red Tips” Milce – percussion & Nigel “Muddy” Walters – cello mandolin, mandolin, mouth organ, vocals.
We play a mix of English traditional and contemporary folk music, (including some favourites from the Wheezers repertoire), and American roots / blues music, including a number of self-penned compositions.
Since the Wheezers broke up (amicably) in late 2016 we took a bit of a break from live appearances while we redefined our approach and repertoire. We started performing again in late 2017 and have performed at Folk by the Sea and Northern Beaches Music Festivals plus Folk Club and pub appearances.
The Fossickers, 5 young Australian lasses who bring a sassy voice to the folk scene. Singing a mix of Australian and Traditional Folk, Shanties, Gospel and Women’s songs. They’re involved in the Sydney folk scene with Redfern Shanty Club, Bush Music Club, Shape Note Singing and Black Joak Morris.
Disability access, supper available, BYO.
