Margaret & Bob Fagan supported by Anthony Woolcott @ The Loaded Dog
October 26, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 10:30 pm$10 – $20
90 mins from Margaret & Bob Fagan who began their musical journey together in Canberra in the late 1960s. Since then they have been based in Sydney, but are now resident in the Blue Mountains. They perform at all the major festivals around Australia, both as a duo and as members of their family band, The Fagans. Their strong blend of politically-edged traditional and contemporary songs combined with lyrical ballads and great choruses is guaranteed to lift your spirits. Their repertoire is firmly rooted in the folk tradition, with Margaret’s pure voice and Bob’s superb guitar playing combining to ensure their popularity both here and abroad.
Anthony Woolcott has performed as a part of Triantan, Senachas, Trippy Hippy Band and Song Brother. Discovered folk music with a visit to the Carlisle Castle session in Newtown when he was asked by Judy Pinder and Miguel Heatwole to join Triantan. He spent many nights at the then singing session at the Glengarry Castle – these were wonderful nights, met some great people and discovered just how good it is to sing with 30 people, making harmonies up on the go. Prior to this he spent many years in the theatre world and sung a bit of jazz.
