Please be aware that any of the events listed below could be CANCELLED at short notice, and the status may not always be updated in time on this website. Where possible there are phone numbers, email, a booking link, or a Facebook page, that can tell you.

If an event is going ahead, please comply with current guidelines for handwashing – thoroughly & with soap & for 20-25 seconds, upon arrival & during the event. Bring your own hand sanitiser if you have one – but hand washing is best.

‘Evening Primrose’ (Loosely Woven)

A free, light-hearted, folky, acoustic concert/cabaret . . .

Loosely Woven is a community based group of people who put together and perform two to three new shows each year.

‘Evening Primrose’ is the third concert for 2019.  There will be 7 public performances including two at Humph Hall.  The concert will feature 20 instrumentalists and singers.

The ‘all new’ program includes some songs addressing social justice issues include a fabulous song by Australian singer/songwriter Khristian Mizzi called ‘We ain’t all equal’, Eric Bogle’s powerful song ’Shelter’ and one by local Northern Beaches songwriter Ian Macintosh related to the plight of Sydney’s homeless people.
There are also a number of well known songs including:

  • Lady Madonna (The Beatles)
  • I wanna be loved by you (Marilyn Monroe)
  • Nessun Dorma

  • Could I have this dance? (Anne Murray)

  • Standing by my Christmas Tree (Cara Dillon)
  • In Spite of Ourselves (John Prine & Iris DeMent)
Instruments this time will include violins, flute, saxophone, harp, melodicas, glockenspiel, harmonium, accordion, concertina, guitars, ukuleles, keyboard and percussion.
